Janice’s art is her way of telling stories. Each piece mimics her travels, her curiosity of the natural world, and a compass for growth. Her artistic voice pairs with the clients vision, to render a piece that flows with the body.

The magic and mysteries of existence sneak their way into the souls of the creatures she creates. She spends time in the elements, observing it, gathering inspiration and peace, recreating its beauty. She wants the wearer to feel strong, accomplished, beautiful and cared for. She is a black and grey artist who does illustrative tattoos and ornamental. She designs patterns from nature and draws from architecture. she studies symbols, creation stories and belief systems from her travels around the globe and in her backyard.

She learned to tattoo in Indonesia when she was 21. She began working in shops in California several years later. landing back in her home state of Colorado during the pandemic, She Reconnected with her now husband Alex. They own a studio together in crested butte, Colorado. Together they have travelled to a dozen different countries to tattoo, and continue to grow their skills for the craft and collect new perspectives. Janice lives the Hygge life. She loves to sauna, cold plunge, yoga, ski, and her kittens 🖤
